Sex and Guns

In our world today, we are constantly bombarded by the hot topic of the day. Gun crimes, the “Fiscal Cliff,” gay marriage, etc. I think it is imperative to look at the numbers and statistics on whatever is the hot topic of the day so that the facts can overrule emotions. Emotions are very dangerous to freedom, and the Constitution.
There are two topics that pop up steadily throughout our culture. The first is gun control. Every time some idiot decides he wants to be infamous, and kills innocent people, the liberals come out of the wood work saying we need stronger gun laws. Liberals never take into account that when Cain killed Abel, he didn’t have an AR-15 with a 30 round clip. He likely used a rock or a stick. People don’t need guns to kill people, they need an evil heart. What our government is seeking is total control. I have many guns in my home, but have never used one to kill anyone else. I have them for protection from intruders, and protection from an out of control government if they threaten my home and family. The liberals know they can use raw emotion to change legislation, and steal our freedoms. If laws were properly enforced, and punishment was swiftly and correctly administered, our culture would be much safer, and have much more freedom.
The other hot topic is abortions. Abortion is nothing more than legalized mass murder that is mostly funded by people who believe it immoral. Try to remember that at 16 weeks, a baby in the mother’s womb has fingers, finger nails, toes, and fingerprints. Even though all this is true, over 62,000 babies have been aborted this year after 16 weeks. Now, the liberals all say that it is the woman’s body, so it is her right to choose, yet they have to control our guns because some psycho CHOOSES to shoot somebody. The use of the word choice is conveniently moved around in our modern culture to suit peoples morality.
Here are the cold hard facts. Just over 9000 murders with firearms were committed in 2002 as reported by the UN. There are over 1.6 million abortions per year in the U.S. Four in ten accidental pregnancies end in abortion. Planned Parenthood (funded by our taxes) have performed 319,745 abortions to date this year. Abortions this year due to rape or incest are 11,414. So, here is my argument. If liberals want to justify abortions by saying the law works due to rape and incest then lets cut out the other 300,000 abortions done this year, and only allow for rape and incest, and then we can have the moral discussion of right to life no matter the circumstance. Instead of having this discussion liberals would rather focus on 9000 murders by gun, even though rape and incest kill more babies than even guns do.
I said all that to say this. Both of these subjects are volatile and create a wide range of powerful emotions in people, but if everyone would look at the actual data, and then dust off their moral compass this nation might have a chance to survive as a constitutional republic. If we stay focused on politics, emotion, and continue to rely on others for our education, then this nation as we knew it growing up is doomed.

Separation of Church and State

There is a lie floating around the country, and it is killing our freedom each and every day. It has created decay in our schools, and public centers. This lie is that the separation of church and state is constitutional. This lie was taken from a letter to the Danbury Baptists in 1802. They were concerned that Thomas Jefferson may harm their religious freedoms because they were a minority in their state. Jefferson stated that, “Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should “make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” thus building a wall of separation between Church & State.” Jefferson believed that the government had no right to keep anyone from practicing their religion, and would not interfere with their religious practices.
We can trace this countries downfalls to a date in my opinion, and a ruling by the supreme court. McCollum v. Board of Education Dist. 71, 333 U.S. 203 (1948)

Court finds religious instruction in public schools a violation of the establishment clause and therefore unconstitutional.
This one ruling began the movement of no prayer in schools, and no religion in public places. This one ruling opened the door for liberals to step in and take over our education system. They replaced Bible classes with classes that teach evolution and other such theories. If we want to win our freedom back, we must educate our children in true American history. They need to study the founders in their own words. They need to learn about the infusion of liberal policies into our schools, and as they learn this, we need to be fighting back the influx of liberal thought. Thomas Jefferson once stated “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.”
I think that quote gives us our charge to keep. We must educate ourselves first, and then those around us in order to be free.

Where do we go?

We have to learn and understand the Constitution as a nation. Therefore those of us who are educated on the Constitution must commit to train others. We must look to education to regain our nation. This is where the conservative movement has lost the battle. Liberals own our education system. WE MUST TAKE IT BACK!

The Reason Freedom Lost

Yesterday Obama was re-elected as the President of this great nation.  I believe this defeat of freedom can be pinned on a very few seeds that have been sown over the past 40 years.  This nation was at the top of it’s game when God was first, family second, and country third.  You notice that self, money, sex, drugs, alcohol, and power were not listed in the top three.  This is because the greatest Americans knew that as you give of yourself to God, family, and country, they would receive blessings without end.  Unfortunately that generation did not instill this into their children, and those children decided that it was okay to seek out pleasures outside of God’s intent.  Thus the next generation decided that being happy was more important than giving of themselves, and they followed their flesh.  Divorce began to run rampant, due to addiction, lust, and “irreconcilable differences”.  This in turned created single parent households with most of them being led by the mother.  Fathers went off to do their own thing, and the law told them all they had to do was stroke a check to do their duty as a father.  This thought spits in the face of all that is sacred about marriage, and raising children.  Only a man can do a father’s job, and 50% of households in this nation are either emotionally or physically fatherless.  The men of this nation have shirked their responsibility for decades, and now as Jeremiah Wright so famously stated “Americas chickens have come home to roost.”  We are reaping the past 40 years of decay and the decline of the family unit.  Now my generation (I’m 30) is torn by broken families, and confused between right and wrong because fathers stepped away from their duty, and allowed the government to step in and take care of us.  In turn my generation believes the government when they tell us they will take care of us, because the government has taken care of us or someone we know.  My generation can officially be named the “Fatherless Generation,” and the generations to come will pay for it if we don’t right this wrong.  My generation has to man up and take over the job as father and husband as the Bible prescribes these titles.  We must educate ourselves in history, and scriptures.  And we must require more of ourselves than we think possible.  Only God can give us the strength to stand for what we believe.  We as a generation must believe in the America our founders believed in, and then we must fight for it!  I pledge to fight, I pledge to be the father that I didn’t have, and I pledge to educate myself and others.  I pledge to be charitable, faithful, and honest at all cost.  I pledge to defend this great nation against all enemies.  I pledge to teach my children morality, scriptures, and history, and to warn them of how fragile freedom really is.  What will you pledge?
